OK, you're up to Approach. Here is where it gets even more interesting and harder. This is the last step before Center, but it's a HUGE step because you need to learn Approach at Newark, followed by everywhere else. This is another difficult level that is really fun.

BEFORE you carry out any training on this page, you must have:

1) Completed the training on the Newark Departure Page

Earning Solo Approach Certification at Newark

1) Log into your Controller Panel take ALL TRACON Approach Training Classes (Classes 15x).
2) Read and study the TRACON/Approach section of the Newark Facility SOP.
3) Request a Sweatbox session using the Training Request Forum, or have an Instructor or Mentor Observe you working traffic. Once the session(s) are completed, you will be given certification to work the position solo.

Next Step - Earning Promotion to Level 6: Center

This is not as easy as work online and take a few exams. Center requires you to know DEL-APP at EWR, JFK, LGA, and PHL. So now, if you're totally comfortable with Newark, it's time to learn others. The way to get to Center is actually easy...control, control, control Once the Center Certified ATC think you're ready to move up a Level, we'll start working with you on Center.
