So, you got Clearance Delivery down at LaGuardia - well done - you've only just begun. LaGuardia has only two runways, which doesn't seem like much, but everything that takes off and lands crosses each other. You're gonna have to coordinate to an even bigger extent with Tower. Aside from Ground taxiing things so they don't bump into each other or go nose to nose, you're going to have to learn how Ground plays a vital role in traffic operations hundreds of miles away.
1) Completed the training on the VATUSA S1/non-Major Local Control Page.
2) Completed the training on the LaGuardia Clearance Delivery Page
To accomplish this task, follow the steps below
1) Log into your Controller Panel and take the LaGuardia Ground SOP Class using the Training Classes link.
2) Read and study the Ground section of the LaGuardia Facility SOP.
3) Work Ground control at LaGuardia.
Spend some time online, ask questions, and the Training Staff will observe you and help you learn Ground like you never have before. Once that is complete, we'll look for you to advance. In order to work the Tower position at LaGuardia, you must:
1) Pass the ZNY Level 2 Basic ATC Test over voice with a NY instructor
2) Pass the ZNY Level 2 NY SOP Test over voice with a NY instructor
3) Pass the LaGuardia Ground Test over voice with a NY instructor
Once you have passed the required tests, you'll begin your training to work LaGuardia Tower Control.
